JOB TITLE: Media Director
Job Description:
We are looking for a result-driven media director to spearhead advertisement campaigns and optimize advertising strategies to maximize audience reach. The media director will work closely with the advertising team to plan and implement new campaigns for various platforms such as social media, television, and radio.
To be successful as a media director you should be up to date with the latest advertising trends and tools. You should be familiar with tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, as well as Mail Chimp and all major social media platforms' business tools.
Media Director responsibilities are:
- Plan and execute media campaigns for several platforms.
- Lead the advertising department in all projects and campaigns.
- Keep abreast of design and advertising trends.
- Use analytics to improve advertising strategies.
- Understand client expectations and liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Determine the best media outlet mix for promotional strategies
- Monitor online and offline ad campaigns (e.g. on radio, TV, websites, magazines and billboards)
- Regularly report advertising campaign results (including revenues and costs)
- Optimize advertising strategies for varying audiences and channels
- Design and review advertising budgets in collaboration with the client and agency team
- Negotiate with media channels to close competitive deals
- Prepare additional promotional projects to support new product launches
- Create new campaigns to reach a broader audience
- Ensure a cohesive advertising message across campaigns
- Build long-term relationships with media influencers
Media Director requirements are:
- Proven work experience as a Media Director, Media Planner or similar/ comparable role
- Working understanding of different types of media channels
- Demonstrable experience with building effective advertising campaigns
- Cognition of digital marketing
- Working knowledge of tools used for analytics
- Experience planning budgets and with KPIs
- Data management skills, and the ability to combine data
- Strong decision-making skills and communication skills.
- BSc in Marketing, Business Administration or similar field.
